WAN BACHCHRAN: Wan Bachchran police on Sunday registered a case against a man described as a quack for a sexual assault and for throwing acid at an elderly woman.

The woman’s family had earlier staged a protest demonstration in front of the police station for registration of a case. The woman was taken to Wan Bachchran hospital, where she was later reported to be out of danger.

The protesting family said that the woman, 65, was taken to Abdus Sattar, who ran a pain relief clinic in Lorry Adda, on Friday after she complained of pain in her legs.

They said he took the woman inside a room, where he tied both her hands and sexually harassed her.

They said he also threw acid at her back when she tried to flee.

They said her husband and son broke into the room on hearing her scream and found her lying shirt-less on the ground.

They said Sattar fled while they covered the woman and untied her hands. She was taken to a hospital, where doctors said that 50 per cent of her back had been affected. However, they said she was out of danger.

The family said that they had approached the police station several times, but the police did not register their complaint.

On Sunday, the police registered a complaint after the woman’s family protested in front of the police station.

Police said the family had been told to get the woman’s medico-legal examination. They said they were looking for the suspect.

What reason does the police have not to register their complain.. Absolutely ridiculous. This is why there's no respect for law in Pakistan.

Deadly depraved animals! the perpetrators should be shot dead publicly! and the police is also a party to this by not arresting the culprits.
