In cold blood: Eve teaser kills elderly woman

The police claims to have arrested the accused.

MANSEHRA: An elderly woman was brutally murdered while trying to protect her daughter from an eve teaser, police said on Saturday.

Police quoted Razia Bibi as saying that she was in the city market with her mother, 62-year-old Gulzar Bibi, when a man who was later identified as Awais started teasing her.

“My mother scolded him, asking to stop what he was doing,” Razia said. Upon which, Awais got infuriated and hit Gulzar on the head with a heavy steel pan which he had picked up from a nearby sweet maker’s shop.

The accused kept on repeatedly hitting Gulzar resulting in her death. The complainant added they had no personal enmity or any relationship with the accused.

The police claimed to have arrested the accused.
