Violence roundup: Five bodies found, three people killed

Among the five bodies found were two Rangers personnel who were kidnapped three days ago from Pak Colony

KARACHI: Three people were killed in the city on Thursday, including police ASI Mehram Ali who was shot dead inside his house in Bhitaiabad.

“Some men forced their way into the house and opened fire. This seems to be a case of personal enmity involving Ali’s son and a girl from the neighbourhood,” said a police official.

In Baldia, 38-year-old Javaid Khan was killed when armed men barged onto the 19-D route bus and opened fire. For 45-year-old transporter Abdul Aleem death came unexpectedly within the remits of Khokharpar police station.

“Some men knocked at his door and as he started talking to them, one of them opened fire. He was killed on the spot,” the police said.

Among the five bodies found were two Rangers personnel who were kidnapped three days ago from Pak Colony. They were found dead in Mewa Shah Graveyard.

From the Northern Bypass, the police found bodies of two men, Maqbool Ahmed and Ifthikar Khan who had gone missing from Balochistan.  The police also found the body of Abdul Sattar, 48, resident of Multan.
