Meeting: US Ambassador meets K-P Governor

Ambassador Olson congratulated the governor on assuming office and discussed the security situation in the region.

PESHAWAR: The US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson met Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Governor, Shaukatullah Khan, at the Governor House. Richard Olson was accompanied by the US Consul General Peshawar Robert G Reed. Ambassador Olson congratulated the governor on assuming office and discussed the security situation in the region. The governor said law and order in Fata and K-P had improved from what it was in the past, adding that investments in education, communication and hydropower sectors were needed. He also thanked the US government and people for their cooperation and support in supplementing the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure socio-economic uplift in the region.
