‘Illegitimate affair’: Woman arrested for killing husband

Yaseen says that his brother had discovered Mazhran Bibi’s illegitimate affair and that was why she killed him.

BAHAWALPUR: A woman was arrested on Friday for allegedly killing her husband with help from an alleged lover and another man. Inayati police said she had confessed to the crime. Police said they were looking for her accomplices. Station House Officer Imran Siddiqi said that 27-year-old Muhammad Nasir’s body was found lying in a field near his house in the morning. He said there were bruises on his neck suggesting that he was strangled. A complaint was filed by Muhammad Yaseen, brother of the deceased, nominating his sister-in-law Mazhran Bibi. The SHO said she had been arrested from her house and that she had confessed to killing Nasir. He said she had told the police that her lover Altaf and his friend Ejaz had helped her kill Nasir and dump the body. Yaseen said that his brother had discovered Mazhran Bibi’s illegitimate affair and that was why she had killed him. The couple did not have any children.
