Snooker: Perwani defeats Anwar to win Cup

Perwani received a cash award of Rs35,000 while Anwar received Rs20,000.

KARACHI: Seasoned campaigner Naveen Perwani clinched the 21st Sindh Snooker Cup title by beating Majid Anwar 6-4 in the final played here yesterday. Perwani got off to a brilliant start by winning the first four frames, before Anwar hit back to claim the fifth game. Perwani restored the four-frame advantage by winning the next duel. But Anwar was in no mood to gift the victory and fought back by winning the next three frames. However, Perwani’s experience helped him stay calm under pressure and he won the 10th frame to clinch the title. Perwani received a cash award of Rs35,000 while Anwar received Rs20,000.

If one has a cell phone but with no call in emergency situations, then we realize the importance of a landline even if wireless service suspended too. Because it can make a great backup for those times when the cell phone doesn’t work.
