The Sindh government has, however, imposed a three-day ban on pillion riding in Karachi starting from the evening today.
In a notification issued by the Home Department, the Sindh government also imposed a three-day ban on aerial firing and riding motorcycles without silencers.
The spokesperson of the Sindh Police SSP Imran Shaukat had earlier told Express News that the police will register a case of attempted murder against any person found involved in aerial firing anywhere in the city.
The step has been taken to curb any possible act of violence during New Year’s Eve.
Carrying arms on New Year night is also prohibited. All the roads leading to Sea View will be closed and parking there will not be allowed. However, people living in that area can use these roads.

It seems like there was no serious planning, public informing or urgent law enforcement done days prior and short-term bans were just hastily declared.
I wonder who instructed RM not to suspend the service ?
I can hear aerial firing in my area. What is Dr. Malik contact number, I want to complain that someone is not listening to his pearl of wisdom.

*Hats off to u guys rather than making enough security plans that will ensure public the safer entertainment u r restricting public from entertainment.Blocking cellular service,bike activities and stuff will not provide people safety rather than u'll have to change yourselves.I strongly condemn these actions
