Company directors: ICAP launches training programme

Professional trainers and industry experts will give presentations and interactive discussions will be held.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) has launched a directors’ training programme. An announcement here on Wednesday said it would be a four-day certification programme and first two-day session would be held on January 21 and 22 in Lahore.


Directors of listed companies are expected to attend the programme, especially designed to meet the mandatory director training requirement under the Code of Corporate Governance.

The programme will broadly cover essential principles and practices of corporate governance, applicable corporate laws, business and financial management and corporate and sustainability reporting. It is also aimed at ensuring familiarity with global perspective of corporate governance concepts. Professional trainers and industry experts will give presentations and interactive discussions will be held among the participants coupled with case studies.
