ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has asked the government to summon the UK High Commissioner to explain why a UK citizen, Altaf Hussain, was instigating the Pakistan Army.

Speaking in the National Assembly on Friday, Nisar said his party will oppose any army general who intervenes in civilian affairs.

He said the PML-N believes only the parliament is entitled to bring about a change in the system.

Nisar also criticised collection of funds being done separately for the flood victims by the army.

Meanwhile, MQM Parliamentary Leader Farooq Sattar said the MQM stands for elimination of feudalism and rule of the middle class. He blamed the PML-N for conspiring to hold mid term elections.

The house also passed two resolutions reaffirming belief in democracy, constitutionalism and the need for the elimination of feudalism and corruption from the country

Absolutely right. Only the parliament is entitled to bring about a change in the system. But how many parliaments in the past 63 years have exercised their entitlement to clip the wings of feudalism and also made some provision for adequate representation of middle class on the pattern musharraf enhanced female representation in the house. Chaudry nisar has deplored ‘instigation’ of army to take over power but he should also explain why he and mian shahbaz met general kiyani more than once in the thick dark of night. Altaf Husain and mian shahbaz’s calls for ‘inquilab’ will only give way to anarchy and bloodshed. Please seek peaceful and constitutional means to bring about a change. The two resolutions adopted by the assembly are welcomed but it is yet to be seen how they are translated into reality.Recommend

So are we heading for a “Technocratic Type of Government” ??? Any type of Martial Law will not be productive.. We must all stop playing dual games. Try to bring back the country on its feet through democratic system according to the law of the land. No one will accept any judicial activism, enough is enough. Media needs to play its role as a “Third Umpire” rather than siding with one party or pillar of the state. It is also in the interest of the country as well as different Media Houses other wise you will not get free hand as you people are enjoying now.Recommend

Mr. Nisar is right. Absolutely! Instigating Pak Army by sitting outside of Pakistan is totally illogical. If you are such a patriotic to Pakistan, why don’t you leave U.K. and go live as a politician there. How many Governments in Pakistan have succeeded. Let democracy take its course and if this government is not capable, let the parliament and the law decide. If you are inviting the same setups as in the past, it’ll be a blow to democracy in Pakistan. Please heed to logic and make sensible statements. If you are brave, then go live in Pakistan like many other politicians.Recommend

Absolutely right Mr. Nisar. If someone want to improve the system must be in the system. If Altaf wants to remove feudalism, he must get back to Pakistan and start politics.
I believe Pakistan Army, must secure our borders only, they should never come to cities and rule the country and systems. Throughout the world, Army’s primary goal is to protect borders and intelligence for protecting internal voilant.
Today, we know Pak Army is in Swat and other cities of KP. Does anyone knows how the people are suffering under Army ruling.
If this is exposed to the citizens of Pakistan, may revealed a revolutionary change in the mankind against Pak Army. For only the viewers, do someone knows any IDP who is in viewer’s local area, must meet him and ask what is doing army in the IDP’s area.
I’ve met with many IDP’s and found, Pak Army is more crucial than Taliban were. Army is not listening to anyone, Army has removed the 5th principal of Islam that is Jihad in victim areas. Army has snatched furnitures, beds, and other living items from the villagers and forces them to feed army. Army announces for public to get out of homes for carry militry luggage to bunkers and bases, if someone stayed in home, fined 1000 rupees and plus torture. Army call out public to digg bunkers and barriers. The prices for all items went to 1000 percent higher.
I request media, to cover stories from the Army residing areas in KP so that MQM realise the importance of civilian government.
I’m also hered, in KP Army has prisoned all the Taliban and encountering them on the daily basis without judicial process. No one can ask anything from the army, nor even media. Reporters are thron out of the region if they found indulging locals of Swat.Recommend

revolution is indispensable and need of the day,
our rulers have Palaces and personal air craft,
    on the other hand,
people are restrained to pass their life below the
    line of poverty.

Our parliament is consisting on feudal lords and capitalists
and mill owners which represent no poor people passing
    through tough circumstances,
look their efficiency will find equal to zero.

Electricity, sui gas,and other daily use items is beyond the approach
of common man, they are dying, committing suicide and due to hunger
    are compelled to commit crimes.

New taxes being imposed, electricity rate has been increased,
i have seen women having electricity bills in hand weeping,
and rolling down tears is going to become the right reason of revolution.

Government and related agencies are still failed to overcome suicide attacks
which claim large number of lives of innocent people, what they say on it
    ”OH,SO SORRY”.Recommend

It is over sixty years the poeple of Pakistan have been fooled by army generals (as dictators) and civilian governments. MQM shared power with civilian and military governments for over twenty years. All have been grinding their own axe. Mr Altaf became a british national as he has no othher choice. He can not returm home as many believe that he has blood on his hands. He is no fool to return home to prove patriotism like BB shaheed. He is enjoying his life and ruling a political party from remote controle and black mailing all rulers past or present. No body has ever asked him what are his sources of income who are one who pays for his headquarter in London. Feudals, politacal thieves and generals have to explain but so has Altaf Bhai. My friends we have been befooled enaghue. Only poeples revolution guided by a revolutionary leader can save pakistan. Otherwise we are doomed to remain a third world country ruled by world powers through nominated rulers. World history is full ofRecommend

You know the irony of all this is PML (N) is made up of all people groomed & nurtured by the Army & ISI. People of Pakistan have really bad long & medium memory. Nawaz Sharif was the blue eyed boy of the worst dictator of ‘em all Zia ul Haq. On his death Nawaz had vowed infront of all Pakistan that he will continue Zia’s mission.

Mr. Bean’s (Nisar) himself is entrenched in the army through his family & he is the one who was the link between the ISI & Sharif’s (during the 90′s). Now all of a sudden all the PML(N) people have become great democrats, when they even don’t have democracy in their own party.

Why most of the people commenting above forget that it was the same Nawaz Sharif & Co who were funded by not only ISI, but also Osama Bin Laden to topple the then elected govt. of BB?

All i want to remind my brother’s that please think before you speak or write & please for the future of your children, don’t base your perceptions & decision on personal biases.

Keep in mind, there is & was a hell lot of a difference between the Dictator who groomed Nawaz Sharif & the one so called last dictator who oversaw in think the most prosperous era in Pakistan’s economic history.

Hell, he was more democratic than most of these Politicians, including Altaf Hussain, AZ & our PM & the Shariffov’s & Co.

    All Hail Democracy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Recommend
