PESHAWAR: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Marvi Memon has said that decisive action must be taken against militants and those advocating against female education. Addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Tuesday, she condemned the acid attack by unidentified militants on students in Kurram Agency. Memon termed the incident a “well orchestrated conspiracy” and asked the government to punish those involved. “The government has failed to maintain law and order in the province and tribal areas during its tenure and people should hold them accountable in the upcoming general elections,” she said. Memon also urged for action against Malala Yousafzai’s attackers, who she said were afraid of Malala’s work. Also present at the occasion, Youth of Parachinar representative Roohullah Bangash said that education was a fundamental right of women and there should be severe repercussions for those who tried to stop them.
