Judge Abdul Sattar Langah issued this order in response to a petition moved by Khatam-e-Nabuwwat Lawyers Forum and further directed the police to lodge an FIR if any cognisable offence was commited against the respondents.
The forum - through its president advocate Ghulam Mustafa - contended that it came to know about the anti-Islam movie within the precincts of Islampura police station.
Mustafa stated that the culprits behind the film committed a blasphemy and are liable to be punished under the law.
He further said that the PTA could have blocked access to the movie on social media websites but failed to do so. He submitted that the PTA chairman should also be booked on charges of criminal negligence.
The forum’s president alleged that an application was filed to the Islampura Police Station for registration of a case against the respondents but the police was reluctant to take any action.

Well said everyone!
Such cases will keep the SC busy till the end of days. I could disclose a few (thousands actually) websites hosting equally blasphemous movies or texts. Of course I won't. Better close the internet all-together and start burning books, round-up illegal DVDs and CDs. What about prostitutes and forbidden alcohol? Lots of work, but you have to start somewhere. I am still waiting for the definition of vulgarity.
Everyone be careful in your comments, CJP is watching, he like this judge since he shares the "wisdom" with CJP. This judge knows how to score points with CJP. This judge is for sure next judge of Lahore High Court and in near future Judge of The Supreme Court and may be future CJP. Be very careful. Remember the name Abdul Sattar Langah.
The reason is a no-brainer. The judges (most of them) are cowards and would dare not antagonize the dimwit clerics. The judiciary in Pakistan, especially where it pertains to blasphemy, have made us the laughing stock of the world. They, as well as the maulvi are an embarrassment....Our politicians are not far behind. to save their skin, they will betray their friends and sell their soul to the devil. When Salman Taseer was assassinated, his colleague and dear friend, Rehman Malik (interior minister) stepped out and to appease the stupid rioters, said that if he was to witness someone commit blasphemy, he would himself shoot him. The laywers wont be left behind. Their shameless support of the killer of Salman Taseer is a disgrace to their profession.
More like pre-stoneage.
Does anyone in Pakistan ever wonder why your judicial system seems to work different than the rest of the World? Judges are suppose to be impartial making rulings based on evidence provided by all parties involved - they are not the police, prosecutor or serve in any executive capacity. In Pakistan someone shows up and makes a complaint and the judges are off to the races making broad rulings often with little or no formal evidence from the parties effected - and often making statements that make it obvious that they are not impartial and should recuse themselves from the case.
Is this not time to move on and get to other issues, and ignore the YouTube video? May be something about education or jokes or water-car? ..pc
Do the judge and the lawyers understand the meaning of jurisdiction?
