
In a statement released, the conference said that an OIC meeting should be called on the film and delegations from religious and political parties should be sent to various Muslim countries.
It noted that if the United Nations Security Council fails in making a law against blasphemy, then Pakistan will leave the UN and form a separate 'Muslim United Nations,' the statement added.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, while addressing the conference, said that hurting the sentiments of humanity in the name of freedom of speech is against human rights.
Founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) who also spoke at the occasion demanded US President Barack Obama to ban the film, while Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) chief Munawar Hassan said that the US should make laws to prevent such incidents from recurring.
The conference was also addressed by Gen (retd) Hamid Gul, Sheikh Rasheed, Maulana Samiul Haq, Qazi Hussain Ahmed and Maulana Ahmed Ludhianvi.
