Since we are always on the look-out for hits and misses in the fashion world, here is a round-up of some of our favourite celebs in some of their best and worst looks at red carpet events across the globe.
Kate Hudson: Hollywood actor Kate Hudson looked nothing short of fabulous at the premier of her movie The Reluctant Fundamentalist at the Toronto International Film Festival. Donning a stunning white long sleeved Alexander McQueen dress paired with ivory pumps and a sparkly white clutch, Kate was the epitome of grace and timeless beauty at the red carpet in her all-white ensemble which would make other blondes look plain and washed out.
Sri Devi: Held in high reverence in B-town for her charm and beauty, Sridevi never fails to impress. She unveiled the cover of Society Interior Magazine at Fbar in Mumbai (and looked dashing as well, mind you) wearing a blue body hugging dress paired with stylish snakeskin stilettos. To add the extra oomph to her outfit, she accessorised with a chunky bronze ring. Painting her nails bright red added that extra splash of colour to her look.
Kareena Kapoor: Be it her upcoming wedding to Saif Ali Khan, or the much awaited release of her film Heroine, Kareena is on everyone’s mind. She looked impeccably classy at the Heroine film promotions event in Kurla, Mumbai dressed in a blue/jade psychedelic-print Emanuel Ungaro dress with her hair swept tightly back in a high pony tail — the chic look really accentuating her collar bones. She paired the dress with nude Christian Louboutin pumps — sizzle, sizzle!
Kylie Jenner: Spotted at New York Fashion Week, the reality TV personality looks anything but fashionable. From her hair to her choice of heels, Kylie looks completely amiss and drab on the red carpet. Her round-necked stretchable long sleeved top looks bland and distasteful. Maybe if she had accessorised with a chunky long necklace or let her hair down, her outfit would have been slightly presentable. Bad move, Kylie!
Avril Lavigne: We all know that Avril is the ultimate rocker chick, but there is a line that even the most rebellious should not cross. She attended her Abbey Down by Avril Lavigne Spring 2013 fashion show during NYFW looking like a confused train wreck more than anything else. The pink and green streaks with one side of her head shaven looks all very bold but nothing can explain her choice of shoes. The black and white blazer paired with tights of the same colour is still workable, but her wedges just kill the rocker look. Too much of anything is never good, Ms Mishmmash.
Fergie: While we admire Fergie for opting to be bold and different, sometimes she just tries too hard, like at the Case-Mate 2013 during Fashion Week. The black oversized blazer looks frumpy and incomplete rather than giving off the neat classy look that she seems to be going for. The pumps are alright, but maybe a white shirt underneath with her hair tied back in a neat bun would have added some oomph to her otherwise mismatched, distasteful look.
