Security: One-window operation at banks soon

The DPO said that crime could only be stopped if the police stay ahead of the criminals.

BAHAWALPUR: “One-window operation is being introduced at the banks so that every movement can be monitored through CCTV cameras from one place,” District Police Officer Sohail Habib Tajik said on Wednesday. He was addressing a meeting with the Citizens Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) and managers of several banks at a meeting. CPLC Convener Dr Muhammad Tariq and as many as 100 bank managers attended the meeting. The DPO said that crime could only be stopped if the police stay ahead of the criminals. He directed the police officers concerned to set up a standard guard post at the banks. The DPO said that bank branches that do not have proper security will be recommended to be shut down.
