Salahuddin Rabbani, the head of an Afghan council for peace talks with the Taliban, has delayed a trip to Pakistan, according to an Associated Press report. The delay follows tensions over cross-border shelling that Afghanistan says the Pakistan Army is responsible for.

Rabbani was to arrive in Islamabad on Wednesday to negotiate with Taliban leaders based in Pakistan. A member of the Afghanistan High Peace Council that Rabbani head said the trip had been delayed for two weeks.

Ismail Qasimyar said more preparations were necessary and did not link the delay to the tensions over cross-border shelling. However, another council member, Hameed Mubarez, said “it is not good” for Afghan officials to travel to Pakistan because of the issue.

It is not important whether he comes or not. What is more important is that when are the Afghan Refugees leaving Pakistan. They have destroyed our country and they should not be allowed to stay any more.

Bismillah. aj khan that is an absurd comment just like the Bengali PM who is supposedly Muslim rejecting Muslims refugees from Myanmar when they are being oppressed and being burnt alive. I say welcome any Muslim refugees to settle in Pakistan and not worry about economics. One day I rather see a greater Pan-Islamic Nation with regional Emirs and not the current day division on ethnic and westernized borders. May Allah Subhanwa’tallah bring us together under one Khalifah and unite us as simply Muslims without any other labels. Ameen. Allahu Akbar *3.Recommend

Peace process, negotiation will not be fruitful unless total recall of
immigrants staying in Pakistan since long.
insurgents are based among immigrants who are involved in terrorist
activities destroyed internal peace, security and economy of the country.
Withdrawal of immigrants would be proved first brick of the foundation of peace.
It would also open more ways leading to peace process in the region.
