BAHAWALPUR: Four people, two unidentified, have been accused of sexually assaulting a man in Baghdad ul Jadeed area. Doctors at Bahawal Victoria Hospital said an initial examination of the complainant, Mohammad Saleem, confirmed that he had been assaulted. They said they had sent DNA samples for chemical examination so that a detailed report could be submitted to the police. Saleem has accused his two neighbours and two unidentified people of kidnapping and sexually assaulting him on gunpoint. He said he was abducted on his way home in Chak 24B/C and raped on gunpoint. He said his assailants had later dumped him in front of his house and fled the scene. He said that the police did not appear to be serious in investigating the case and alleged that they had been bribed by the suspects. Investigation Officer Abdul Razzaq rejected the allegations and said police teams were raiding the neighbouring villages to track down the suspects.
