LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) MNA from Haripur Sardar Muhstaq Khan has decided to join Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Express News reported on Monday. A formal announcement is expected to made later during a press conference.
It has been reported that Mushtaq had met with President Asif Ali Zardari and had expressed grievances he had with the PML-N.
The MNA was reportedly unhappy with PML-N’s decision to form an alliance with Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) and the seat adjustment plan for them.
According to media reports, a PML-N leader had earlier said that Mushtaq had been involved in the embezzlement of millions of rupees in the purchase of land and had also been arrested on fraud charges.
