Prestige: Squash complex named after world champion

Jansher won the British Open and the World Open Squash Championships.

In the recognition of the achievements of the world squash champion Jansher Khan, the President Pakistan Squash has renamed a squash complex after him, said a press release.


The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Squash Complex Peshawar has been renamed as PAF Jansher Khan Squash Complex. The squash complex consists of three courts which were recently renovated by the PAF.

Khan has a long association with these courts, where he started out as a beginner. He has brought a number of laurels for the country and broke records by winning the British Open and the World Open Squash Championships.

The squash complex is being run under the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, Air Headquarters Peshawar. Besides Khan, a number of squash players and enthusiasts and guests were present at the renaming ceremony on Wednesday.
