LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif said on Monday that President Asif Ali Zardari had a discussion with him to give indemnity to former president general (retd) Pervez Musharraf when he decided to step down from the presidency.

Addressing a gathering in Lahore on Youm-e-Takbeer, Sharif said that President Zardari had shown no interest in “becoming the president back then” and that Nawaz had a written account of that, but then Zardari “deceptively” took over the presidency.

“I was shocked when he became the president and so were the people of Pakistan.”

He further said that his party did not vote for Zardari as the president.

He is a novice politician and seems to remain like this. He didn't learn from experiences. He should forget what happened in past and start concentrate on real issues and daunting challenges. It is time for all of us to concentrate on future challenges and say goodbye to politicians with no vision nor sincerity
