Busted: Drug smuggling bid foiled

Police seized 280 packets of hashish from vehicle's hidden captivities upon inspection.

WAH: The National Highways and Motorway Police thwarted an attempt to smuggle drugs from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to lower parts of Punjab and arrested a suspected drug pusher from Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway (M-1) on Thursday. Sector Commander M-1 SSP Asim Gulzar said that the police, acting on a tip-off, stopped a suspected vehicle (IDD-1518) and seized 280 packets of hashish from its hidden captivities upon inspection. The police have also taken the suspected drug pusher, Abdul Rasheed, into custody and started interrogation, said the Gulzar.
