A father, son and two others were killed while three others injured in a clash between two groups on Friday, said the Sharafi Goth police. They claim that two families fought over a pair of slippers.
After offering his Jumma prayers, Zakaullah realised that his slippers were stolen from a mosque near his house in Mansehra Colony. DSP Abdul Fateh said that some neighbourhood children told Zakaullah who took the slippers. In a fit of anger, Zakaullah went to the house of a policeman identified as Farooq. By the time he got there, Farooq’s relative Fazal Mehmood also got there. The DSP said that according to an eye-witness, as both men started fighting, neighbours and family members started gathering around. As the situation intensified, people took their guns out and opened fire. Fazal Mehmood, 52, his 10-year-old son Hayat Fazal and two other people identified as Siraj Ahmed and Dua Sher were killed while Zakaullah, Siraj’s sister-in-law and another person were injured.
They were taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. The investigation officer suspects that both families did not get along and were looking an excuse to fight. Rangers were called in to control the situation.

@Baba Ji: The slippers will become the property of Imam of the masjid because he is the man who brainwash these people and make them intolerant.
@Baba Ji: Seconded. I want a followup on the condition of the slippers. They're not getting enough of the attention. Obviously they were super slippers. I want to know what power they have and who to fear in the future.
Everything wrong in this country revolves around religion. When are we going to evolve as people?
Jumma prayers - missing slippers - firing - dead bodies - They are all interlinked. Intolerance is in our blood. No prayers change our attitude.

Are you serious? Some people who were watching all the drama took out gun and killed them. If this is true, God help us in the future then.
What in the world is wrong with us!? Killing people over a pair of slippers? Seriously? I don't wanna live here anymore. What was there in the pair of slippers which justified the killing?

They kill for a pair of slippers and then they expect to go to heaven because they never missed Jummah. Well, I would rather go somewhere else....What if they like one of my 72 virgins over there?
