Boxing: Title-deciders take place today

Boxers to take part in national event’s final round.

KARACHI: Pakistan’s top boxers sailed into the final rounds of the 34th National Boxing Championships being held in Lahore where the deciders in 10 different categories will take place today.

Mohib Bacha of Police will take on Army’s Mohammad Nauman (49kg), PAF’s Abdul Waheed will meet Wapda’s Mohammad Waseem (52kg), Navy’s Samiullah will take on PAF’s Naimatullah (56kg), Wapda’s Qadir Khan will go head-to-head against Army’s Nawaz Dad (60kg) and Army’s Faisal Khan will lock horns with Adnan of the PAF (64kg).

PAF’s Arshad Hussain and Wapda’s Aamir Khan will clash for the 69kg crown, PAF’s Mirza Azam will take on Navy’s Dur Mohammad for the 75kg title, Nadir Khan of Navy will be up against Army’s Ahmed Ali in the 81kg final, HEC’s Moiz Khan will take on Army’s Riaz Ali in the 91kg match and Mirwais of Wapda will fight Army’s Waqar Ali for the 91-plus kg crown.
