BRASILIA: US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Monday that she will continue to urge Pakistan to squeeze the Haqqani network, as signs emerged it might be behind weekend attacks in Afghanistan.

Recalling that she pressed Pakistan to “squeeze” the Haqqani network when she visited Islamabad last October, Clinton told reporters in Brasilia that she will “continue to make that point, press it hard.”

She added that “there are already indications of Haqqani involvement” in the weekend attacks on Kabul and elsewhere in Afghanistan, adding that the “Haqqani network is a very determined foe.”

Clinton recalled that she had told Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar in a telephone call from Brazil on Monday that she “expressed my strong conviction that there has to be concerted effort” in fighting extremism.

She said such effort must involves the Nato-led force in Afghanistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Rather than trying to off load Blame on Pakistan,
US should try to exit this region in a dignified way

    Give us a break. Madam.
Thanks for every thing that you have done :
    4 million Afghan Refuges
    Destruction of infra structure,
Flight of capital due to regional war and instability created.
Creation of Mujahideen, recycled as Talibans,
Thanks for the extremism promoted through the good offices of Saudi Arabia.
We will be remembering you for hundred years because it will take that much of time to recover from the losses.

God forbid for Pakistan if Obama gets re-elected this year. The following four years will be a nightmare for Pakistan. Obama will put a heavy price on Pakistan on the International level, just a stop away of declaring a war on it.

US is intentionally radicalizing our nation. By doing this, it will have no side effect on west but it will increase terrorism in subcontinent.

For all this Pakistan is the prime responsible, global Jihad ideology which still exist and thrive causing this all problem. It times to wake-up and accept responsibility that no other country is more responsible for lingering civil war in Afghanistan than Pakistan.

In late 80s USA left the region for decade but Pakistan continues to peruse influence game in Afghanistan, now we see ripple effect of it pak land.

Incase NATO supplies are not restored by Pakistan, US is keeping its option open for direct intervention against Haqqani group by ground assault and aerial bombardment.

    Dear Gul Khan,

It’s this sort of mentality that will neither benefit our nations, nor help us achieve our common objectives in the region. There is absolutely no incentive for the U.S. to see terrorism plague the region. And if that were the case, does it make sense for the U.S. to sacrifice thousands of lives in fighting terrorism? The U.S. only wishes to see a safe and stable Pakistan for the sake of stabilizing the region. Both nations are working hard to create a better working relationship and to target those who continue to pose a threat to our nations. Therefore, it is not uncommon for one partner nation to point to the obvious threat in regards to their common mission. The ultimate goal is to safeguard our lands, and eliminate the threat that has proven detrimental to the safety of our nations.

Who forced us to host millions of refugees? It was decision taken by Zia’s government to host them .. It was us who didn’t bring in control FATA and Western border. We started it although supported by US too but we were never forced for it.
We could have sealed and could have educate the local people by opening schools and other educational institutes which we didn’t and ignored the problem all together. We are yet to send back refugees or seal that border to stop/reduce the inflow of people illegally crossing it. Instead of cursing others and finger pointing one must sit to fix the situation.

Let us go back in time, how were Saddam Hussain and Osama bin Ladin discovered ?
well the answer to that is very simple and straight, the Americans built these two fighters to go fight for them in Russia and now after 20 years, the same Americans want them dead ?
The answer is simple they want Pakistan to be divided up into different parts and mostly they are after our nuclear.
wait wait wait i’m not taking sides here i’m just clarifying some true facts.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton wants the Pakistani government to ‘Squeeze’ the Haqqani network. The Haqqani network is a network of people who are fighting against the US nato in Afghanistan. We’ll i think Mrs. Clinton doesn’t know that our President is living off Americas money including the citizens of pakistan obviously.

Pakistan would have helped if it actually had that much power, As one may see in pakistan the situation is not that good either, everyday hundreds of people die including innocent citizens and how are they killed ? by suicide bombers and drone attacks by the Americans

Even if the smallest thing happens to any country that is touching the boarders of Pakistan the Blame comes on Pakistan we’ll This Haqqani group was used to nurture the Soviet War in the 1970′s by the Afganis,Americans and the Pakistani intelligence’s and now the same story comes up again. Something they built and then running after it.

Calling wont help Mrs.Clinton because this Government wont do anything.

What about their millions of illigimate armed children they left in the region, USA should have taken its responsibility and should not have ran waway from the region without clearing the mess that it had created. Pakistan was too weak and small to handle the situation.
It is once again doing the same. On the run!!!!
