Kidnapping: Woman abducted ‘by brother-in-law’

Complaint Muhammad Nawaz, a resident of Chak 104P, said that his wife Hajra Bibi had been missing for five days.

BAHAWALPUR: Airport police have registered a case against a man and his three accomplices on charges of kidnapping his sister-in-law. Complaint Muhammad Nawaz, a resident of Chak 104P, said that his wife Hajra Bibi had been missing for five days. He said he suspected Muhammad Yaqoob, husband of Hajra’s elder sister, of abducting her. He said he had not been on good terms with Yaqoob after his wife told him about the latter’s advances towards her few months ago. He alleged that Yaqoob had threatened him with dire consequences following an argument over the issue.
