PML-N had earlier decided to boycott the session.
According to the details, Gilani called Nawaz and invited him to participate in the PCNS session to be held on Thursday, to discuss the terms of engagement with the United States.
It was reported earlier that the all-party, bicameral parliamentary panel was likely to keep the decision on reopening Nato supply route vague in the second draft of the proposal, instead of proposing anything explicitly on the issue.
The proposal, if adopted, will allow necessary face-saving to both, Parliament and government, in taking the final decision to lift the four-month old blockade, said an official familiar with the development.

It will be lucrative piece of pie, why boycott. US needs all the help, let us all unite.
Nawaz usual flip flop. Did he get any thing meaningful from federal government. Punjab is slipping out of their hands due to their no role in opposition.
Noora kushti on Samjhota Express... Surprising to see people still traveling through that train...
And the flip flops continue of this "leader" from Lahore.
@John: they are not fighting against terrorists, they are fighting with people who want to liberate their land from savages and foreign occupiers, Meanwhile NATO-US is busy in supporting insurgency within the Pakistan and couldn't even stop cross border attacks. are u really Pakistani?
Samjhota Express... choooonnnn chuk chuk chuk!!!
After all Nawaz got his share by Zardari in Senate so he cannot boycott.
So glad the the king of punjab agreed to take some time out from his free-distribution-of-our-tax-money aka laptop scheme to do some actual work.
What have we achieved by blocking NATO supplies except creating problems for NATO troops fighting against terrorists! And who is most affected by terrorists... we the Pakistanis....! Time to rethink on whose side we are on!!!
CJ Chaudhry please take notice - suo moto as usual. Nawaz Sharif is banned from taking part in elections that is why he is not a parliamentarian how can he attend this meeting of Parliamentary Committee on National Security? Why Gilani is inviting him for the meeting of parliamentarians? I guess we deserve this 'feudal' democracy in the land of pure.
@Raj - USA: what a poor logic u have presented
First result of $10 million bounty. NS is relieved and feels safe that he would not be targeted by the terrorists now. So, decided to end boycott. Now he shall agree to remove the clauses pertaining to Afia and Kashmir. Just waiting for the right excuse.
@Falcon: do u think just a quite ambiguous statements given in a program is enough? do u think he did wrong in past when he used to protest on roads?? my dear Its not very easy for any political party to offend US and to show their guts by speaking publicly against US-Pak relations and new policy which is being formulated by hijacking parliament
@Naeem: we are not talking about his past when he protested for political point scoring, why he is silent at this crucial moment?
Such dilly-dallying on important issues highlights the fact that our political parties (e.g. the PML-N) have no principled stand on anything. If they consider the re-opening of supplies against national interest, they should openly take a stand, instead of signing the reverse of this in the first draft from the committee, then saying the opposite later. This hypocrisy and double face will not work anymore, as the people are more aware now than ever before...
As for PTI, its stand has been very clear and will remain so. IK has mentioned in multiple recent interviews, which is that this war is MEANINGLESS and is causing harm to Pakistan, so along with non-resumption of NATO supplies, we should go one step ahead and tell the Americans Pakistan wants to get out of this war and is willing to help them in the process as well (exit from Afghanistan). I do think Dr. Shirin Mazari should do a press conference on this or at least give a press release clarifying PTI point of view, as people now increasingly look towards PTI for guidance.
@Naeem. Coming out of War on terror is not as easy as it seems. That should be our ultimate goal but how we will do that, that's a delicate discussion. All parties should thoroughly discuss this, take army on board and come up with comprehensive plan of exiting this WOT. Just staying outside and keep shouting wont work for IK.
@Kaleem: yeah i think so, i do apologize if u are offended :)
@Pakistan politics, You replied in a bit hurry :) I just meant IK should focus less on criticism and more on constructive work. I have seen your comments and appreciate your keen thoughts.
On a sidenote, I am an active political observer who just wants better Pakistan :) and I support both PTI and PML N. All of us share the same goal of better Pakistan infact, through different political parties.
@King: one difference PML N is not killing :P
This looks really bad for you, but then in politics you have to have the skin of a Rhinocerous.
@Kaleem: IK has said many times to get out of the WOT, let alone the NATO route!
@Pakistan politics: My friend, re-play IK's recent interview with Mubasshir Luqman (Khari Baat) and see what he has to say on the issue. He mentioned in categorical terms that PTI is against it. What do you want him to do? Lead the protests that lead to destruction of public property? Lastly, is he even in the Govt. that you care so much about what he says? Its responsibility of everybody else who we have unfortunately voted into govt. So let's ask them rather than turning every gun towards PTI.
@Kaleem: yeah i belong to an active media audience not as passive one like u, instead of this i was expecting a constructive positive respoonse from you
@Pakistan Politics, I second you. Just keep criticizing is easiest thing one can do. I like IK but I am worried that he has less solutions than critique in his bag.
@Falcon: Why PTI is silent over the resumption of NATO supplies, why Mr. khan is not giving its stance openly over this important matter, i m dead sure that he will start whining when the parliament finalized the policy review, who asked him to remain silent?...I have no doubt from where his strings are being pulled
Is there any difference between MQM and PML N? Both are doing same for last 4 years.
@Falcon: and what about PTI why they are silent over policy review, who asked them to remain silent?
Right decision. Without taking part in such meetings and discussions, they dont have any right to criticize or play their role.
Why am I not surprised? PMLN is more confused than a kid in the pastry shop!
good.
