We are not a separate nation (II)

August 05, 2010

KARACHI: For years I have lived in Pakistan. As a child, I had always identified myself as a Pakistani, but now I agree with Lovita. The question does arise in my mind: are we Pakistanis? Christians are facing problems in this country and when some incident happens with a Christian brother or sister we do feel the pain. But the same pain is felt for those who lose their lives when a tragedy takes place in the country. The people of Pakistan should now realise that this is not the time to practice religious discrimination. It is the time to stand as a nation and be there for each other so that we can face any problem that comes towards us. We do not ask for much, we just ask for our identity in this country and to be treated as a Pakistani.
