KARACHI: The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) will hold its 23rd annual marathon and health walk on February 26. PMA Karachi general secretary Dr Qazi Wasiq said that doctors want to educate people about ways to prevent being infected by the dengue virus, after all the deaths it caused last year. He said that the slogan for this year’s walk is “Dengue se darna naheen, larna hai.” Secretary of the marathon’s organising committee, Dr Najum F Mahmudi, told The Express Tribune that nearly 4,000 people from all age groups take part in the 13-mile marathon every year and that this year’s walk will start from PMA House at 8am.

Saad | 12 years ago | Reply Kudos to PMA for holding this event, albeit the (almost ) half-marathon fell short by a couple of kms. The organizers should also ensure that people don't end up taking short cuts, because that did happen. Looking forwards to next year's event!
