Arrangements for by-polls in PP-18 to be held on February 25, were reviewed in a  high-level meeting chaired by District Coordination Officer (DCO) Attock Shakeel Ahmed. 


The meeting was attended by District Police Officer, Attock Dr Muhammad Akhtar Abbas, District Election Commissioner Attock, Muhammad Nadeem, assistant commissioners of Fatehjang and Pindigheb along with representatives and candidates from political parities.

The DCO urged participants to adhere to the code of conduct issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan. He  said efforts must be made to ensure perfect sectarian and political harmony during the by-polls.

The district administration has prohibited wall chalking, open display of weapons and firing within the constituency. He said all candidates must focus on the professional training of polling agents to ensure that polling is conducted in a transparent manner.

During the meeting District Police Officer, Attock Dr. Muhammad Akhtar Abbas said security will remain on high alert throughout the day of the election and all material related to the polls will be secure during transportation.

In the end, the DCO directed relevant assistant commissioners and tehsil administration to facilitate the polling staff, voters and candidates.
