Kite Flying: Six arrested for violation of ban

As many as six people have been arrested for violation of a ban on kite flying.

FAISALABAD: As many as six people have been arrested for violation of a ban on kite flying during a crackdown in the city under the Anti Kite-Flying Campaign.

Assistant Commissioner City Zaheer Anwar Jappa said raids were carried out in Gulberg and Razabad. He identified the suspects as Muhammad Amin, Haidar Ali, Kashif Nadeem, Muhammad Jameel, Zulqarnain, Muhammad Tariq and Kashif Nadeem. The raiding teams seized kites and other equipment used in the banned activity form these suspects’ possession. The AC said cases had been registered against the suspects under the Kite Flying Act.
