Terrorist confesses to involvement in Sea View, Abdul Shah Ghazi bombings

KARACHI: Mohammad Daud, alias Waleed, alias Ishaq, arrested earlier this month, confessed on Monday of being the mastermind behind the attacks on the shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi in 2010 and the Sea View suicide blast in 2011.

Daud was arrested along with two other men by the Anti-Extremist Cell (AEC) and Crime Investigation Department (CID) from Baldia town. The arrested are affiliated with the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

CID Additional IG Ghulam Shabbir Shaikh had said that Daud had plotted another attack at the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).

Around 50 kilogrammes of explosives, four suicide jackets, 10 hand grenades, two Kalashnikovs, five detonators and 20 feet of detonating wire was also found.

    There have been many arrests but the problem is why these terrorist get free later on. Who in ISI MI IB FIA CID has their backing? Who puts pressure on police to get a weak case in courts and hence released? Malik Ishaq is the best case in this regard. We only hear news of arrests and no FINAL CLOSURE of any case?

    Why wouldn’t they confess. The beating that the police does at ‘THANA’, everyone knows.
