A prize distribution ceremony was held to commemorate players of the FATA Secretariat girls sports at Qayyum Sports Complex on Wednesday.
Sarjana from Government Girls High School (GGHS) Seplano Kas Khyber Agency was declared best athlete of the year, taking the gold in long jump and shot put with silver in 100m track.
GGHS Subhan Khawar Mohmand Agency clinched the overall Athletic Meet Trophy with 23 points followed by Government Girls School Jamrud with 17 points and GGHS Seplano Khas took 16 points.
Athletes also took part in table tennis, volleyball and badminton. Elementary Girls College Jamrud took first position followed by GGHS Ahmad Jan Jamrud and GGHS Subhan Khawar tied for second, GGHS Mohmand Agency came in third.
In table tennis, Elementary Girls College won the trophy followed by GGHS Seplano Kas while GGHS Ahmed Jan took first place for badminton.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony.
