Imran takes five for Wapda as bankers dismissed for 94 on opening day.

Wapda were on top on the opening day of their Quaid-i-Azam Trophy match against SBP as they reached 88 for three after bundling out the opposition for just 94 in their first-innings.

According to information provided by the Pakistan Cricket Board, Imran Khan claimed five wickets to demolish SBP’s batting line-up with Rana Naved taking three wickets.

Blues bother Abbottabad

Mohammad Sami continued his good form in the tournament, taking four for 56 as Abbottabad were reduced to 210 for nine against Karachi Blues on the opening day at the National Stadium.

Sami was supported by Azam Hussain who claimed three wickets as only Mohammad Naeem offered resistance, making 65.

Faisalabad in deep trouble against Rawalpindi

It was a bowlers’ paradise in Sargodha as Abdul Rauf claimed a five-for to help dismiss Rawalpindi for 179 before Nasir Malik and Haseeb Azam shared five wickets between them to reduce Faisalabad to 69 for six. Rauf followed up his five-wicket haul with an unbeaten 30.

In another match, thirteen wickets fell on the first day as Islamabad were reduced to 19 for three after Sialkot were bundled out for 255. Shahzad Azam took four wickets in Sialkot’s innings.

NBP were bowled out for 243 with Kamran Akmal contributing 66 against HBL. Fahad Masood finished with five for 40 as HBL batted for one over, making a solitary run.

Elsewhere, PIA reached 38 for one after ZTBL were dismissed for 178.
