Time to win the Pakistan 'World Cup': Imran Khan

CHAKWAL: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan held a rally in Chakwal on Thursday, where he reiterated his party’s message that “change will come” in the next election.

Addressing a gathering of thousands, the PTI chief said that a “tsunami” has arrived which will “reach Karachi, where the future of Pakistan will be decided.” He was referring to the rise in corruption, inflation and violation of human rights in Pakistan.

Khan said old-fashioned politics based on corruption cannot change the fate of a country, and that the youth of Pakistan will be instrumental in bringing about a change.

“Minor office holders have been put behind bars while big fish are protected by the NRO,” he said.

He also said that people will have to fight for their rights to secure a brighter future.

“It is now time to win the Pakistan “World Cup”, said Khan, implying that the country should emerge as a successful nation in the international arena.

Khan also hit out at the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N), saying that Shahbaz Sharif should not spend government funds on rallies and should instead use the money to provide water to the people of Chakwal who are facing a shortage.

PTI is planning a rally in Karachi on December 25 near the Mazar-e-Quaid. The party’s goal is to bring out a whopping 200,000 people. Party officials earlier told The Express Tribune that the December 25 rally’s theme will be ‘National Unity’ as Khan wants everyone to participate, above ethnic divides.

Well done Imran. Just make sure you keep this momentum. Time lag between one mega public meeting and the other is little on a higer side. Lets revisit the frequency. Please plan something big in KPK and Islamabad.

Yes some politicians are allowed to join PTI or some alliances are under consideration but i want you to realize that they all are entered after accepting the terms & Conditions of great IK. Everyone coming in PTI is clear in his mind that he may not able to do any ainky phainky afterward so please give credit to IK that he is making corrupt politicians a true Pakistani, is it a wrong deed, i an sure you must say it is not.

We have trust on IK and please give him a chance to prove his honesty and loyalty as you given many chances to PMLN or PPP.

If you still want to live in denial you can do so but please tell us what else should one do in order to bring change in this country? Should we start importing honest people from Germany and Sweden as we dont have any left in Pakistan? Besides, if you had cared to read newspapers lately, you would have known that a lot of educated, sensible and honest people are joining PTI too. Allama Iqbal’s grandson is a good example of that.

I have the feeling that its all going to ba big disappointment for the nation. Raising hopes to that level without proper ground work will only lead to failure no mater how sincere a leader is. I am yet to se,despite a lot of rhetoric, any tangible, solid concret plan of action given by Imran Khan. He is rallying the youth and believe me thats a cause of concern because its the youth which gets distracted most quickly. We dont know his team, his plan and his route. He draws paralel with the cricket team which won the world cup. Thats a total misconception. The team which won the world cup had players like Javed Miandad, Inzimam and Waseem Akram. Who do we have as a team with Imran and mind you, honesty and sincerity alone doesnt win you world cups.

What I like about Imran is that he’s genuine & he gives you some hope. He led Pakistan to world cup victory in 1992, something which still gives the whole nation pleasure. It might just be cricket but tell me how many times that victory is referred to?? I still love to see the videos of our the ’92 world cup. the alliance with NRO affected politicians isn’t an issue, it is such a childish thought, no one is perfect in this country, even the shoemaker at the foot path is corrupt, the thing is the party should have a manifesto, and if NRO politicians come and join the party then IMRAN should ask them that your past is your past, now start your politics with new vision, and if you violate the rules of the party then we will kick you out,,,,,,

I will advise all PTI members and leaders to please go through the details of efforts put in by AK Party in TURKEY. There was a time when Turkey was interested in joining EU now they are no more. Their GDP growth rate is probably the highest in EU. The military which used to wield so much power in the past is now automtically in its place. REASON ; leadership is HONEST , COMPETENT AND SINCERE with their country. PM Rajab Tayyeb was the first muslim ruler to visit the famine stricken SOMALIA wih his wife and offered so much in aid. They also offered us so much during earth quake and floods. ONLY the team of PTI can bring such change where we will be able to offer help to other instead asking for help. People must realize that it is their chance and they have to decide which party to vote for.

    1) he is not an establishment tool…why bc at present establishing is supporting the zardari-gilani government !! if you dont believe me just listen to today’s program of dr. Shahid and hameed Gul… Hameed Gul is clearly saying that this weak government ideally suits the pakistani establishment in order to gain strategic grounds with USA !!

    2) his huge shows in lahore and chakwal n peshawar are tantamount that ordinary people are fed up with old politicians .. they now want change

Personally if it was not IK, any other man who is “asking for change” i will vote for him.

    3) IK track record is immaculate …. he has shown to achieve impossibles like shaukat khanum hospital…. all the medical professionals rejected the idea of free cancer hospital that too in Pakistan but he has done it….

    4) He has the team… Just look at some prime TV Shows … PTI representatives like imran ismael, sher baber , amjad mir …rauf sahbb… all are well spoken and seems to be reasonable future candidates….

    5) IK has a team other than electables….. IK foundation work on building model villages in KPK in devastated flood regions…. the whole ideas of SMS campaign to gather support of PTI, the interation with youth through social media…. I can bet that he has a team that too of professionals who can think

    6) HE his not corrupt… and people say that ” he has not given a chance to loot that’s why he is not corrupt” but remember people give him charities and if he has done a little bit of corruption during money handling in SK hospital building or namal uni it could have been covered in media

    7) and he will give tickets to good people… he has a knack of finding good and talented people ..need examples…a) wasim akram was a club level bowler and if for not IK for identifying him he could have been playing club cricket all his life… same for inzi and mushtaq ahmed !! During his captaincy all players played professionally and with unity so he his not proud otherwise proud people cannot unite teams

    8) some people say that he is giving so much hope that he will not deliver to that extent…but my point of view is that if he is able to stop this rot of pakistan that will be his great achievement … our people are very simple and want little… and if he can just provide basic things to people of pakistan people will be satisfied…. and i believe he will give more that that !!

AND lastly he has no ulterior motives other than seeing PAkistani and pakistan to grow..God has given him all…Power, Glamor, Fame, money, personality and a love of thousands of fans and supporters…. but he is fighting for PAKISTAN and i support hiem and the question is DO U SUPPORT HIM>
