MIRPUR:

Over 70 kanals of state land has been recovered from land grabbers in Neelum Valley.

A spokesperson of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Forest Department said they partnered with the AJK Accountability Bureau (AB) to get their land back and are working on getting back other land too.

AB Chairperson Justice (retd) Raja Saeed Akram told the forest department’s chief conservator to cancel the old lease of land belonging to the department, besides ensuring fresh lease on latest rates for the department’s benefit.

In a separate meeting with senior officials of the AJK Electricity Department, Akram directed the chief engineer to ensure delivery of correct bills to consumers according to their consumed units instead of issuing average bills to consumers.
