Actor, comedian and TV host Veena Malik got engaged this June but she has no plans of tying the knot anytime soon. Malik told Express News: “I am not in any hurry to get married because my entire focus is on my entertainment career.
I need some time to understand and get to know my fiance (businessman Faisal Akbar). I have told him that if he is in a hurry to get married, he can get married himself!”
At the time of her engagement, Malik said that even though the engagement was arranged by her family, she shares ‘very good chemistry’ with Akbar.
When asked whether cricketer Mohammad Asif was a friend or a lover, she said, “Asif is a member of the Pakistani cricketer team. I have nothing to do with him.” Veena Malik had a public falling out and a subsequent truce with Asif over money she had loaned him.
