Thousands of Sikh pilgrims arrive at Wagah border to commemorate 542nd birth anniversary of Guru Nanak.
Special arrangements and strict security measures are in place for the three-day event that will start from tomorrow (Thursday).
Sikh pilgrims including children perform rituals at Gurudwaras while many of the children are excited to visit historical places in the Punjab province.
The Sikh pilgrims thanked Pakistani authorities for the grand reception and said that Pakistan is their second home and also prayed for the country's solidarity.
Every year a batch of about 3,000 Sikh Devotees visit Nankana Sahib for the celebrations to mark Guru Nanak Dev’s birth anniversary, the founder of the Sikh religion.
Sikh pilgrims will return to their homeland on November 17.
