On his recent trip to Toronto, Junaid Jamshed sang a verse from his famous Dil Dil Pakistan.
You have to admit this: even if you heartily appreciate Junaid Jamshed’s transition from a musician to a religious scholar, a part of you still misses his legendary singles like Aitebar and Maula.
What is drawing fans to his recent video is his trip to Toronto for the Canada Muslim Festival 2011 where the bearded, now reformed, Junaid Jamshed sings Dil Dil Pakistan an all-time cherished Pakistani national song, which is also considered as the second national anthem of the country.
Even though Jamshed sings only one verse of the song, the magic of his voice makes you replay the video over and over again to reminisce a singer Pakistanis will never forget.
Video rating: Double thumbs up for still remembering your fans.

A great singer. I love his song “Yeh sham phi nahin aaye gi” ………….. beautiful. Yousaf Islam (Cat Stevens) gave up singing decades ago after reverting to Islam but recently he has recorded a song with Ronin i think.

Why would you call him ‘reformed’? He was a great person earlier as well. He was a good singer and it’s sad that he left it in his misunderstanding of islam. Oh well.

@ Ali
He sang national song, not some romantic song. So his Islam is still intact if that is how you are going to judge a Muslim.
