The Lahore Registry of the apex court had granted Ishaq bail on July 11, 2011. Ishaq was accused of masterminding the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in 2009 while in prison.
He had appealed to the Supreme Court to overturn the decision of the Lahore High Court, which had rejected his bail plea.
The Chief Prosecutor of Punjab’s Public Prosecution Department Chaudhry Muhammad Jehangir told The Express Tribune that Ishaq, who is now in the Rahim Yar Khan Jail for 30 days on the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO), that they have filed the review appeal in the Supreme Court.

@Noise: Bail is usually there to ensure the criminal won't flee or harm witnesses/accusers. That guy won't be going anywhere just as long as the insane keep flattering him and he can kill without much concern for the consequences. Also, the witnesses/accusers are probably already dead or frozen in fear.
How can someone with someone with so many major cases on him be let out on bail in the first place?
