SIALKOT: An infuriated man, Muhammad Arif, threw acid on his 19-year-old ex-wife Afsana Bibi in Sambrial on Friday for not ‘patching up’ with him after their divorce.
The accused went to Afsana’s parents’ house and forced her to get back together with him, and when she refused he threw acid on her face.
She received serious burn wounds and was admitted to the Government Allama Iqbal memorial DHQ Hospital in critical condition. Sambrial police have claimed to arrest the accused and have registered a case against him.
