PESHAWAR: Cantt XI, Usmania and Nodhia Friends moved into the quarter-finals of the Super-Eight Jashane Azadi Floodlight Cricket Tournament. Cantt XI beat Dera Baghwanan by 15 runs after setting a target of 52. In reply, Dera Baghwanan were bowled out for 37. In the second match of the day, Usmania beat Al-Khair by six wickets, chasing down the 57-run target for the loss of four wickets. Nodhia Friends beat Awan Fighters by two runs in the last match of the day. Nodhia set up a meagre target of just 37 runs, which they were able to defend successfully, bowling out their opponents for 35.
