MQM-P vows support to Balochistan quake victims

Party stands with the Baloch people in this time of grief, says Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui

M u t t a h i d a Q a u m i Movement-Pakistan (MQMP) Balochistan Provincial Organising Committee President, Imran Kakar, called on Rabita Committee Convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, at Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) headquarters in Bahadurabad on Sunday.

In the meeting, Kakar apprised Dr Siddiqui of the humanitarian crisis caused by the recent earthquake in Balochistan and said that the MQM-P had started its relief immediately after the catastrophe besides visiting the injured and offering sympathies to the families of the affected people.

Expressing his views, the MQM-P convener said, "The recent earthquake in Balochistan has caused huge damages and the MQM-P stands with the Baloch people in this time of grief." Dr Siddiqui directed Member Rabita Committee and Federal Minister Syed Aminul Haq to immediately contact the provincial government of Balochistan and the National Disaster Management Authority to remove obstacles in the ongoing relief efforts for the victims so that more loss of human lives can be avoided.
