KARACHI: Prisoners who were accused of being involved in the killing of Assistant Jailer Ishaq Mayo, have not been presented before the court by the jail authorities.
Unidentified gunmen riding on motorcycles opened fire on Central Jail Assistant Ishaq Mayo in the Ferozabad area of Karachi. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
Protesting the incident, superintendents of Central Jail, Malir Jail, Women’s Jail and the Juvenile Jail have refused to present prisoners over security apprehensions.
