BELFAST / KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has asked coach Waqar Younis, who is currently in Ireland with the team, to return to Pakistan and explain his position over differences with former captain Shahid Afridi, Express 24/7 reported on Tuesday.

Sources have said that Younis’s wife is not well and the coach wished to travel to Australia to see her. The board has asked him to come to Pakistan first.

Team manager Intikhab Alam has sent an initial report on Afridi to the board.

All praise for the team

Younis praised Pakistan for a “wonderful job” after they shrugged off the cold to complete a 2-0 one-day international series away to Ireland at Stormont.

“This game could have been dodgy for us but everybody chipped in,” said the coach.

“Coming straight from the West Indies to such cold weather, it is never easy to change suddenly, with so little time, but the boys did a wonderful job and stuck to their task to the end of this last game,” Younis added.

“We are all looking forward to the rest which will do wonders for us, because we have had eight months on the road, then we will be ready to pick it up again against Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka and England.”

I think it is not a disputed issue. It is better for Pakistan if this type of third class players will leave international cricket. It was a bundle of sins in Pak cricket. He was stupid and we as a nation are stupid who was prising this person from last many years.Pakistan gave him wealth and on the end of his substandard career he is dividing team as well as he is firing an extremism element ibetween Punjab and Sindh innocent peoples. And he wants to disturb relations between two big provinces which are not already very good. Noted. We should kick out all this structure of our government and PCb.how we will make this Pakistan greater thn all.we should have to come out and strengthen Imran Khan or a leader who is our last hope.Staying at home then we can’t make any revenge.Cricket is a small example of cruption in Pakistan. It is not a matter to discuss. We should think for rectify our and our leaders sins.Recommend
