Police sources said Qari Mateen and his friend were standing outside a mosque in thail Godam area when two men on a motorbike sprayed volley of bullets on them. Qari Mateen died on the spot while his friend Usman succumbed to injuries later at hospital.
An investigation into the incident was ordered. No group has claimed the responsibility of this attack.
