ISLAMABAD: Two youngsters were brutally murdered by their relative on Sunday. According to police, Javed Khan, Tahir Khan and Fazal Jahangir, all related to one another and residents of Swat, were going to Social Securities Hospital in Rawalpindi where they had rented a room.

Their vehicle came under attack near IJ Principle Road. In the shoot out, Javed Khan and Fazal Jahangir died on the spot while Tahir Khan was seriously injured and was shifted to the nearest hospital. According to sources, Rawalpindi and Islamabad police officials who arrived on the scene wasted almost an hour in determining the jurisdiction of the crime scene. Later upon the interference of a senior police officer, the Islamabad Police voluntarily claimed the jurisdiction of the area and recovered the dead bodies.

The apparent reason for the murder was a family dispute, police said. “Brotherin- law of one of the dead was suspected to be the murderer. However, investigations are underway to ascertain the true facts,” SP Industrial Area, Ghafar Kaisarani told The Express Tribune.
