Target killing toll rises to nine in Karachi

Nine people died in Karachi in target killing events, while ANP protested against the issue.

KARACHI: Nine people died in incidents of target killing in Karachi on Wednesday.

Meanwhile ANP workers staged a protest  near the governor house in Karachi earlier in the day, against the killing of their party workers and what they called the ‘return of target killing’ to Karachi.

As they forcefully tried to enter past the barricades put up near the governor house, a scuffle broke out between the workers and the security personnel.

The police fired tear-gas on the protestors to stop them from entering the area. No one was seriously injured in the clash.

ANP workers asserted that if the Sindh Government did not take action, they would have to take matters into their own hands.
