Millitants, TTP members killed in Darra Adam Khel operation

Indefinite curfew imposed in the area as security forces conduct operations against militants in the area.

PESHAWAR: 10 militants were killed in Darra Adamkhel during a military operation conducted by security forces. Five high-profile commanders of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan have also been killed in the operation.

Security forces attacked militant hideouts during an operation in Torr Chapar area, killing ten militants. A curfew has been imposed in the area.

Darra Adamkhel has been frequently attacked by terrorists and miscreants. Two people were killed in a suicide blast two days ago on April 1. The bomber detonated in a Khalid market apartment. Instable security situation in the district has seen most of its residents move to other areas.

Security forces sources have said that a ground operation and shelling is currently being carried out against militant hideouts in the area. The militants and members of TTP were killed as part of this operation.

Sources have said that a curfew for an indefinite period has been imposed in the area. The curfew is to remain in force till the law and order situation is under control.
