Daddy Mahesh Bhatt experiencing 'Alia withdrawals'

Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt recently moved out of father Mahesh Bhatt's house and it seems like daddy has been having a tough time coping with her departure.

Mahesh recently had a fanboy moment as he clicked a selfie with Alia’s hoarding, Hindustan Times reported. “I noticed the hoarding with Alia on it when I landed at the Delhi airport on a freezing winter morning and thought to myself ah, that’s my little girl. And when I started to take the selfie, my friend Imran said he’ll take a better shot. That’s how it happened,” said.



Mahesh believes this was the result of the "Alia withdrawals" he has been experiencing in the wake of her moving out. The 68-year-old star said he had immediately shared the photo with his star daughter saying, "Maybe I’m suffering from Alia withdrawals and this is my way to cope with it."

Alia expressed her happiness over her father's fan boy moment saying, "That’s so sweet Dad.This is the biggest gift." Subsequently, she shared the picture on her Instagram with the caption, "When my daddy paused to take a selfie with me taking a selfie! What else could I possibly want?"

It was reported that daddy Mahesh wasn't too happy about Alia's decision to move out but she managed to prevail on him, according to Mumbai Mirror. The actor had bought a three-bedroom pad not too far from her parents’ Juhu home last year.
