DERA GHAZI KHAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan on Sunday said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will have to leave office no matter what the apex court decides.

“Even if Mariam [Nawaz] proves to be the flat’s owner, Nawaz Sharif will still have to quit. The letter of Qatari prince will not save him either,” Imran told a public rally in Dera Ghazi Khan.

He reiterated that people of Punjab were fed up with ‘Takht-e-Lahore’.

The PTI chief said that he regretted not visiting the city earlier but also assured people attending the rally that he was aware of their problems.

“New Pakistan should be according to the theory of Pakistan and a nation that has lost its theory will vanish,” he stressed.

He said Pakistan is among the five countries with highest charity rates but people do not pay taxes for fear of theft and their money being spent by the rulers. He assured that the PTI government will collect the taxes honestly and the people’s money will be spent on their welfare. “PTI government will never take loan,” Imran claimed.

Imran was of the view that institutions in Pakistan were not powerful because of corruption and no one was convinced to invest in the country.

“God gave us a great country but its prime minister cannot give employment to anyone.  Educated youngsters go abroad in search of job opportunities.”

Taking another jibe at the premier, Imran said that Nawaz was the captain of this corruption team. “People want to see Pakistan as an exemplary state. People will get rid of Nawaz Sharif after Panama case. Panama case is a battle of the nation,” he said.

Addressing PTI’s local leader Sardar Saifuddin Khosa, who was also on stage, Imran said that he will try to build a cancer hospital in Dera Ghazi Khan after Karachi Shaukat Khanum Hospital but cannot make any promises right now.

“Welfare states have justice in their societies where equality is maintained for the rich and the poor but in Pakistan there are separate laws for the poor and the rich,” he said citing Britain’s example where the state is responsible for most jobs and the government provides stipends to the unemployed and helps him find a job.

“Here education is not available to the common man,” Imran said adding that PTI will establish a welfare state where the child of a poor man will also be able to get education in a public sector school and become the prime minister of the country.

“A poor man will not have to spend money on education and medicine in new Pakistan”.

He said that the country was heading towards disaster and a group is overwhelming the whole country. (TRANSLATed BY ARSHAD SHAHEEN)
