Joint collaboration: Pakistan to host SANOG conference 

Focus will be on current technology updates, trends and challenges related to data networks

The HEC and the Pakistan Telecommu­nication Authority are set to host the 29th South Asian Network Operators Group (SANOG) conference from January 23 to the 30. The conference is being held in joint collaboration with the Internet Society, Asia Pacific Network Information Center and Internet Corporation for Assigning Names and Numbers. SANOG is a platform to bring together network operators for educational as well as cooperation purposes. It is a regional forum whereby participants engage in discourse on operational issues and technologies of interest to data operators in the region. SANOG will consist of conference presentations, tutorials as well as a hands-on workshop track from members of the local and international community. Focus will be on current technology updates, trends and challenges related to data networks. The workshops will be conducted by international experts such as Champika Wijayatunga, Aftab Siddiqui and Fakrul Islam, Phillip Smith and Nimal Ratnayake.
